Police appeal to the public to express views peacefully and rationally
Regarding the chaotic situation arising from the protest currently (October 3) taking place in Mong Kok, Police appeal to members of the public to stay calm and exercise restraint, and express their views in a peaceful and rational manner.
Police are dealing with the situation at scene and urge the people there to comply with the instructions of the Police officers. Police will take appropriate action to restore public order.
Police reiterate that we respect the public's freedoms of expression, speech and assembly. Members of the public should also comply with the laws of Hong Kong and social order when expressing their views.
