  • At a press briefing on Monday, hours before the 1900 GMT deadline expires, UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky said he had seen the "disappointing" public statements "not just from Iran".  Nesirky says that Iran's invitation cannot have been a surprise to the US, that the US was fully aware of it and that this invitation was not hasty.
